Anthony L. Labrie, 92
Campbell…Anthony L. Labrie, 92 passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at St Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.
Anthony was born November 6, 1932 in Lowellville, Ohio a son of Samuel and Veda (Fanaza) Labrie.
He was a 1950 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. Anthony married the love of his life, Dorothy Angelides on September 4, 1951 and they were married until her passing on September 16, 2023.
Anthony worked as a foreman in the machine shop at Youngstown Sheet and Tube and later LTV Steel. He then went on to work as a consultant for WCI Steel in Warren.
Anthony was a member of Christ Community Church and previously Marion Heights United Methodist Church until its closing.
He loved his trips to Cape Hatteras and the Outer Banks, but he especially loved spending time with his family. Anthony never missed any of his grandchildren’s sporting events and music concerts. His grandchildren and great grandchildren will never forget his “Popo’s special handshake.”
Anthony will be deeply missed and always remembered by his son, Nicholas (Jenny) Labrie of North Lima: his daughter, Debra (Bruce) Evans of Boardman; grandchildren, David (Jackie), Mark (Rose), Beth (Kevin), Michael (Anna), and Nicholas; great grandchildren, James, Lydia, Jonah, Colin, Lilian, Nora, Liam, Max, Leo, Caroline and Sam and his son-in-law, Richard (Jill) Barr.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Dorothy; his daughter Gail Barr; his stepgrandson Jeremy Bowser and three brothers, Samuel, James and Charles Labrie.
Anthony’s family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to his very special caregivers, Justina, Becky, Sami, Alisa, Paula and Dave for his special visits.
The Labrie family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell and will receive friends and family on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 10-11am at the funeral home followed by a funeral service at 11am officiated by Pastor Dan Yargo.
Anthony will be laid to rest at Lake Park Cemetery.
