Anthony S. Tisler, 77
YOUNGSTOWN…Anthony S. Tisler, 77 passed away peacefully on Monday, April 6, 2026 at Heritage Manor in Youngstown, Ohio.
Anthony was born April 12, 1948 in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Joseph and Ann (Perrott) Tisler.
Anthony was a 1967 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School where he played football with Bob Babich. During his football days he earned his nickname “Buffalo”.
Anthony served in the U.S. Marine Corps from July 6, 1967 until March 8, 1973.
Anthony married the love of his life the former Joann Berardi on July 14, 2000 and they shared 16 wonderful years of marriage until her passing on May 15, 2016.
Anthony worked for Billet Roller for LTV Steel previously Youngstown Sheet and Tube Campbell Works.
Anthony was of the Catholic faith and was a parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Croation Catholic Church. He was a member of the Holy Name Society at church and a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Military Order of Purple Heart Marine Corps League.
Anthony played in various pool leagues. He had been a football coach for the Campbell Little Red Devils and a softball coach for Mill Creek Baseball. Anthony enjoyed gardening, playing cards, football, the lottery, sports betting, especially for the Cincinnati Bengals. He loved being outdoors and exercising, especially running. Above all he loved his church and his family.
Anthony will be deeply missed and always remembered by his stepson, Mike (Donna) Senchesak of Canton and his daughter, Nicole (Mark) Dewitt of Youngstown; granddaughter, Therese Senchesak; his sister, Louise (Joe) Korhan of Austintown; along with many nieces and nephews whom he loved.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann; brothers, Frank, Joseph and George Tisler and a sister, Yvonne Tisler.
The Tisler family has entrusted Anthony’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio where calling hours will be held Monday, April 13, 2026 from 5-7pm and again on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 from 9-10:15am with prayers at 10:15am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at Sts. Peter and Paul Croation Catholic Church in Youngstown, Ohio, officiated by Msgr. Robert Siffrin and Fr. Joseph Rudjak.
Anthony will be laid to rest at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville, Ohio.
