Arleen Fontanez, 62

CAMPBELL…Arleen Fontanez, 62, passed away suddenly at her home on Thursday, May 21, 2026, with her loving sons by her side.

Arleen was born April 21, 1964, in Bronx, New York, a daughter of David Garcia and Luz Rivera.  She moved to Youngstown in 1988 and then to Campbell, where she purchased her home where she raised her sons. She was previously employed as a factory worker.

 In her younger days, Arleen had a love for martial arts, a love she eventually passed on to her sons.   She was an avid shopper, who especially enjoyed buying new shoes and purses, a past time she loved sharing with her granddaughter.  Arleen cherished every moment spent with family and friends and found great comfort at home with her dog, Danny, watching Jerry Springer and shows about Bigfoot.  A women of Christian faith Arlene loved the book of Psalms and always greeted you with a smile that was truly larger than life. 

Arleen will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her sons, Davis Oracio Jr. of Youngstown and Jonathon W. Oracio of Campbell; granddaughter, Liliana M. Oracio; her father, David Garcia; her sister, Luchie E. Fragosa; two brothers, Benjamin and Ivan Fontanez.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

The Fontanez family has entrusted Arleen’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio.  A celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced by the family.  Any memorial contributions can be made directly through Arleen’s sons to assist with her final arrangements.
