Augustina (Tina) Blazquez Medina, 93
CAMPBELL…Augustina (Tina) Blazquez Medina entered her heavenly abode at her home, surrounded by her family on March 29, 2025.
Tina was born on February 12, 1932 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Agapito and Isabel (Bueno) Blazquez.
She graduated from East High School in 1950 where she met her high school sweetheart, Dominic Medina; whom she married on August 25, 1951 at Immaculate Conception Church.
Tina worked at Truscon Steel as a secretary until 1957 when she and her husband started a family. She was also a secretary at St. Joseph the Provider School where her daughters attended and later was an office manager at Medina Home Furnishings, the family owned business.
She and her husband were devoted Catholics and were involved in Cursillo.
Tina volunteered in many church organizations such as peroghi, bingo and 300 club dinners.
Tina’s son, Thomas was born with Down Syndrome and she was devoted to loving and taking wonderful care of him. She involved herself with volunteering in activities at Leonard Kirtz School and The Masco Workshop.
Tina gave her love, affection and time to all she encountered and was the Matriarch of her family.
She leaves behind to cherish in her memory, her two daughters, Dolores ( Ronald) Eusanio of Tracy, California and Tina Marie (Anthony) DeFelice; her five grandchildren, Ryan (Ashley) and Robert Eusanio, Marielena (Stan) Gozur, Anthony III DeFelice (Lindsay DeVecchio), and Dominic (Courtney) DeFelice; six great-grandchildren, Michael, Elizaveta, and Edward Gozur, Giovanna and Dominic DeFelice, and Aleli Eusanio. She is also survived by her brother, Louis (Mary Lou) Blazquez; sister-in-law, Helen (Gerald) Truman and brother-in-law, Anthony (Marianne) Medina.
Tina was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dominic and son, Thomas; her in-laws, Frank and Carrie Russo Medina; and her sister, Dolores.
The family of Tina would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Akeso Hospice for all their support and kindness. They would also like to thank her caregivers, Tina Marie DeFelice (her daughter), Wyvette Williams, Autumn Esker, Rosalie Davis, Gail McGeorge, Mary Gajdos, Dennis and Marian Gura for their dedication, kindness, care and treatment.
The Medina Family has entrusted Tina’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell. Calling hours will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 from 10:30-11:15am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish in Campbell followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am officiated by Father Tom Kraszewski.
