Beatriz Roman, 58

STRUTHERS…Beatriz Roman, 58 passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman.

Beatriz was born March 14, 1967 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, a daughter of Abraham Arroyo Sr. and Cruz Maria Cordero Arroyo.

Beatriz came to Long Island, New York in the early 1980’s from Puerto Rico. She moved to New York City and then to Buffalo, finally settling in the Youngstown area in the mid 1990’s.

She was married to Isael Roman Jr. until his passing on March 12, 2020.

Beatriz was a homemaker. She worked in a bakery as a baker, also worked as a social worker and for a medical equipment company.

Beatriz was of the Catholic faith.

She liked bingo, puzzles, playing the lottery, listening to music, having a good conversation over a cup of coffee and enjoying a good meal with family. Beatriz truly loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Beatriz will be deeply missed and always remembered by her children, Isael (Jiraida) Roman III of Campbell, Jasmin L. Roman of Struthers, Timothy Roman of Michigan, Christopher J. Roman and Cynthia M. Roman both of Youngstown; sixteen grandchildren and 3 on the way; four sisters, Juanita (Isael) Roman Sr., Ivette Arroyo, Matilde Leon and Nelida Arroyo; four brothers, Abraham Arroyo Jr., Luis Daniel, Javier and Jose Luis Arroyo, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Maria Del Rosario Figueroa and a brother, Jose Juan Arroyo.

The Roman family has entrusted Beatriz’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio. Private services were held.
