Catherine Ann Rodgers, 60

LOWELLVILLE… Catherine Ann Rodgers, 60 passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 5, 2025.

Catherine was born March 3, 1965 in Germany, a daughter of Charles Newsom and Edith B. Arsenault.

Catherine was a 1983 graduate of Ursuline High School and she attended trade school at Choffin Technical Center.

She worked for Diversified Family Services as a Residential Program Worker and as a prep cook at Mama Janes Eatery in New Castle.

Catherine was a member of the Coitsville Fire Auxillary and a Women’s Bowling League.

She was of the Catholic Faith and was a member of St. Angela Merici Parish in Youngstown.

Catherine enjoyed gardening and traveling. She loved spending time with her many friends she considered family.  Catherine would send a “good morning” to them every day. Her besties Nicole L., Candy W. & James D. will cherish her memory forever and celebrate her life.

Catherine will always be remembered by her son, Frank Knize of New Wilmington,Pa; her sister, Rosemary Ann (Charlie) Reynolds; her brother, Charles (Cindy-Lou) Newsome and her granddaughter, Sephira Rose Knize.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Christopher Rodgers.

The Rodgers family has entrusted Catherine’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 4-6pm at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Service at 6pm officiated by Rev. Tom Kraszewski.

Catherine will be laid to rest at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville, Ohio.
