Daniel Steven Szenborn, 47

CANFIELD…Daniel Steven Szenborn (Danny) age 47 passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

Danny was born January 27, 1978 in Youngstown, Ohio the son of Michael and Janet (Ray) Szenborn.

He was a 1996 graduate from Campbell Memorial High School and was employed as a supervisor at Astro Shapes.

He was a loving father to Samantha Szenborn, Jalen and Janessa Rich, and “P-Paw” to his grandson, Jalen Rich Jr. Danny was the husband of Jessica Szenborn for 18 years. His family also includes his two brothers, Mike Jr. (Kelley) Szenborn and Brian Szenborn; his nieces and nephew, Carly, Julia, Diana, Brian Jr. and Deana Szenborn. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins and friends whom he deeply loved.

Danny was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ted and Sophie Szenborn and Joe and Delores Ray.

Throughout his life, Danny was known for being a sociable, funny and lighthearted man. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his loved ones, spending time with family, and keeping up with NFL and MLB games (with a special love for the Seattle Seahawks and New York Yankees), Danny had a big heart and was adored by all family and friends. There is no doubt he is now in Heaven telling Jesus his hilarious jokes. He will always be known for his frequent kind gestures and ability to put a smile on anyone’s face. As Oprah Winfrey once said, “I often feel when someone passes, you now have an angel you can call by name”. Danny may not be here physically now, but he will always be the angel in our hearts to talk to. May Daniel Steven Szenborn be forever remembered and rest in peace.

The Szenborn family has entrusted Daniel’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio. Private family services were held on October 7, 2025. A graveside service for family and friends will be announced at a later date on Facebook.
