DENISE A. FOSCO, 59

ASHVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA… Denise A. Fosco, age 59, passed away on Thursday January 22, 2026 at her home. She was born April 26, 1966 in Youngstown, Ohio and was a daughter of Augustine and Patricia (Ziccardo) Carducci.

Denise was a 1984 graduate of Poland Seminary High School. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, Graphic Design from Youngstown State University.

As an adult Denise moved from the Youngstown area to Fort Myers, Fl. She then moved to Pittsburgh, Pa. and most recently settled in Ashville, NC. Denise had a passion for everything and anything art.  She worked for the Autism Society of North Carolina as the Director of Art Therapy & Class Leader, and she also volunteered at Arms Around ASD in addition to being a private caregiver to a young boy with Autism.

She is survived by her mother Patricia Lee of Poland, Ohio; her brother Jeff (Sue) Carducci of Aliso Viejo, California; her sister Kim (Ed) Nappi of Wildwood, Florida. Denise also leaves her niece Sophia Yurich and her nephews Nicholas, Sam and Anthony (Taylor McCann) Carducci and Connor and Matthew Sperati, Dominic Yurich and her beloved cat Luca.

Denise was preceded in death by her father Augustine, her maternal grandparents Anthony and Rose Ziccardo; as well as her paternal grandparents Agostine and Concetta Carducci.

Memorial Services will be held on March 8th in Ashville, North Carolina.

Denise will be laid to rest at a later date at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville, Ohio where her family will gather for a private ceremony.
