Emelia Misko Barillare, 99
CAMPBELL – Emelia Misko Barillare, 99, went gently into that good night guided by the hand of God on April 12, 2018.
She was born Aug. 2, 1918, the daughter of Christos and Anka Misko.
“Emma,” as she was known, died peacefully at her daughter’s home.
She will be sadly missed by her children, William R. Barillare and Carlyann Markusic; all of her grandchildren, who were the light of her life; and many other family members and friends.
Emma was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Barillare; her parents, Christos Misko and Anka Secedi; her sister, Margaret Borak; brothers Pete and Ralph Misko; and stepfather, Joseph Secedi.
She leaves to carry on her legacy, her son, William (Cheryl) Barillare; daughter Carlyann (Bill) Markusic; grandchildren, Eric Markusic of Seattle, Jody (Erin) Barillare of Wilmington, Del., and Shannon Barillare M.D. (John Monroe) of Canfield; and her great-grandchildren, Keegan, Liam, and Braeden Barillare; and Dominic and Hailey Monroe.
Her life revolved around her family. She was a life-long resident of Campbell and a member of St. Lucy Parish.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley and their wonderful staff, as well as Dr. Charles Wilkins for all of the kindness bestowed upon our mother in her end days.
The family wishes that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley in Emma’s name.
Per Mrs. Barillare’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
The Barillare family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home.
