Florence 'Flo' L. (Walko) Pasquale

BOARDMAN – Florence L. Pasquale, 94, of Boardman, died on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Victoria House in Austintown. She was born on May 12, 1930, in Youngstown, a daughter of John S. and Susan D. (Staron) Walko.

Flo was a lifetime member of St. Matthias Church.  She was a member of the Sacred Heart and Rosary Society, the Infant Jesus of Prague Guild and the Church Choir.  Flo loved people and enjoyed doing volunteer work.

She is survived by her daughter Linda S. Spassil of Boardman; her son David (Bernadette) Pasquale of Wexford, PA, five grandchildren; one great-grandson and several loving in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Her husband Al, son Ron, parents, brother Ed Walko, sisters Dot Estok, Marge Ravella, and Agnes Gresko preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held at Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home, 5925 Market St., Boardman on Friday, September 6 from 5 to 7 pm. An hour of calling will also be held from 10:00 am to 10:50 am on Saturday, September 7 at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish at St. Matthias Church, followed immediately by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with Fr. John Jerek celebrating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Matthias Church, 915 Cornell St., Youngstown, OH 44502, or a charity of the giver’s choice.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all those at Marian Living Center, Assumption Home, Wickshire of Poland, Victoria House and Harmony Hospice who provided such loving and kind care.  May God bless you all.
