Irene R. Necko

AUSTINTOWN…Irene R. Necko, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman.

Irene was born in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of John and Magdalin (Bedenik) Pavlovich.

She was a graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and went on to attend Youngstown Business College for two years.

Irene was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Columba Cathedral.

She married the love of her life, Stanley Necko on September 17, 1960 and they were married until his passing the day before Thanksgiving in 1996.

Irene worked at Campbell Pharmacy as a manager.

Irene enjoyed ceramics, loved collecting angels and working Campbell sporting events.

Irene will be deeply missed and always remembered by her children, Bernadette (Bobby) Poghen of Austintown, Teresa (Mike) Millich of Campbell and John Necko of Campbell; her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Nicole and Megan; great-grandchildren, John, Madaline and Ben.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley and her Godson, Bob Farmintino.

The Necko family has entrusted Irene’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 9, 2026 at 10am at St. Columba Cathedral. Everyone is kindly asked to meet directly at the Cathedral for Mass.
