John E. Carbone, 83 

Gilbert, Arizona…It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of John E Carbone 83, who peacefully departed this life on Saturday, February 17, 2024. 

He was a lifelong resident of Struthers, before moving to Arizona in 2022 to be with family. 

He is proceeded in death by his parents, John and Matilda (Perry), and his loving wife of 61 years Joanne (Wasko). 

John was a graduate of Struthers High School, class of 1959 and was very active in the Struthers gridiron club for many years.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and loved making his own wine, which he won many awards. 

He is survived by his three children; Christina (Marc Anderson), John and Elizabeth; three grandchildren, Lauren Anderson, Connor and Ryan; and his two sisters, Virginia (Derloni) and Lois (William Dunnavant). 

A Funeral mass will be  held on Friday, March 8th at Saint Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in Gilbert Az. 

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held, Friday May 24, 2024 at 9:30 am at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville, Ohio.
