Joseph Thomas Arbie

BOARDMAN – Joseph Thomas Arbie, 89, of Boardman, passed away late Saturday evening, September 7, 2024.

He was born on January 26, 1935, in Youngstown, a son of Joseph and Katheryne Glaros Arbie.

A 1953 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Joseph later graduated with a business degree from Youngstown State University. He worked as a controller at Evenflo in Ravenna.

Joseph will be remembered as the original ‘girl dad,’ a cherished brother, and beloved Unkie Joe to his many nieces and nephews. He still had friends from his school days; he was the kind of guy you would want to meet for a cup of coffee. He will be missed by all that knew him.

He leaves behind his daughter Andrea Arbie, with whom he made his home; his brother John (Beverly) Arbie of Sugarland, TX; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, the former Kathleen Hetner.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
