Joseph H. Wielbruda, 74

CAMPBELL…Joseph H. Wielbruda, 74 passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

Joseph was born November 29, 1950 in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Henry T. and Dora F. (Campana) Wielbruda.

He was a 1968 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School.

Joseph served in the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam War, from April 1970 until December of 1971.

He married the former Dorothy Gilmore on December 21, 1985 and they were married until her passing on June 22, 2002.

Joseph worked in construction and was a truck driver. He was with Teamsters Local 377 until his retirement in 2007.

He was of the Catholic Faith and was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. John’s Church in Campbell.

Joseph was a member of the American Legion Post 290, St. John’s Men’s Club and St. John’s Muscle Club.

Joseph is survived by his stepson, Rodney (Marie) Knight of New Middletown; cousins, John (Joanne) Tarr of Campbell, Carol Wilson of Boardman, Tom Soich of Boardman and Robert Soich; along with many nieces and nephews, and a very special friend, Dina Petracci.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his sister, Mary Ann Wielbruda.

The Wielbruda family has entrusted Joseph’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio. Calling hours will be held at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish in Campbell on Friday May 2, 2025 from9-9:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am officiated by Father Edward Noga.
