 BOARDMAN… Josephine Horney 96, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

Josephine was born April 14, 1928 a daughter of the late Josephine Kacir & Stephen Sefcik.

She was married on Feb 14, 1953 to husband George Horney.

She had worked at Truscon Office before her marriage, afterwards at Ohio Bureau Employment Services, part time.

She was a member of St. Luke Church, and Altar Rosary Society.

Josephine is survived by her daughter Maria (Mike) Moss of Boardman, OH, George (late Belinda) Horne of Sugar Land, TX, and Mark Horney of Apache Junction, AZ. Also five grandchildren Lauren (Ryne) McKinney of Franklin, TX, John Horne of Houston, TX, Michael & Steven Moss, and Amanda (Nick) Heitzer, and one sister, Rita Sefcik of Canfield, OH. She is survived by 3 great grandchildren Halle, Rawlin & Mackston McKinney of Franklin, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George (died 8/7/2016), sister Mary (Andrew) Vagas, Agatha (Edward) Potkanowicz, infant Magdaline, & Rita's twin sister who died at birth.

Calling Hours will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 10-10:45am at St. Luke Catholic Church in Boardman followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, with The Very Rev. Msgr. John Zuraw, J.C.L.,V.G., officiating.

Josephine will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.

Arrangements are being handled by the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home in Boardman.
