Leonard J. Yavorsky, Jr., 70, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025, at Hampton Woods.
Leonard was born on May 7, 1954, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of the late Leonard J. and Sophie Hrinko Yavorsky, Sr.
He graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1972 and worked as a press operator at several fabrication companies.
Leonard was an avid bowler at the Holiday Bowl. He bowled several 300 games and 800 sets. His talent was unmatched.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, three sisters, Winifred M. (Dr. Murali) Guthikonda, Denise A (Eugene) Leson, and Karen M. (Dr. Mark) Herbert; two nephews and four nieces; four great-nephews and five great nieces, and beloved companion Diana Underwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Our Lady of Sorrows at St. Matthias Church, followed immediately by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, celebrated by Fr. John Jerek. He will be laid to rest at Lake Park Cemetery with his parents.
A celebration of life will be held in May.
