Louis M. (Lou) Palusak, 82
STRUTHERS… Louis M. (Lou) Palusak, 82 passed away on Saturday, December 21,2024 at St Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown after a short illness.
Lou was born November 11, 1942 in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Louis R. and Julia (Berchik) Palusak.
He was a 1960 graduate of Ursuline High School. Lou went on to serve in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1961-1964.
Lou married the love of his life, Margaret E. (Marge) Zetts on June 25, 1966 at St. John the Baptist Church in Campbell.
He was a member of Holy Family Parish in Poland.
Lou retired from the former Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. and Syro Steel (Trinity Industries) in Girard.
He enjoyed target practicing as a member of the Lowellville Rod & Gun Club and Lou took pride in restoring a 1979 Chevy Camaro with his son Christopher. He also enjoyed reading and visiting the casino.
Lou will be deeply missed and always remembered by his wife, Marge after 58 years of marriage; a son, Christopher at home; his brother Richard (Elaine) Palusak of Pleasant Mt., PA; his brother-in-law, Jerome E. Zetts of Canfield; his sister-in-law, Anna Marie Reichert of Poland and several nephews; a niece; several great nephews and nieces as well as many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The Palusak family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell and will receive family and friends on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 9am-10:15am in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am at Holy Family Parish with military honors. A luncheon will follow in the Social Hall.
Lou will be laid to rest at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville, Ohio.
