YOUNGSTOWN –Margaret Ann Stevenson, 91, of Youngstown, passed away Saturday afternoon, August 30, 2025, at Continuing Health in Niles.
Margaret was born April 1, 1934, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Steve and Sara (Bezjak) Zubrinich. She was a graduate of South High School. She worked at several places, including McCrory’s Five and Dime Store, 20th Century Restaurant, and Pizza Oven on Market Street. Her most important job though was a homemaker.
She was a devoted parishioner at Saints Peter and Paul Croatian Catholic Church and Holy Apostles Church, both in Youngstown. She enjoyed bingo and visiting casinos.
Margaret leaves behind her cherished memories, her sons, Jimmy and Gary Stevenson; her grandchildren, Mariah Stevenson and Jacob Sherrill; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George, who passed away in 2011, son George, daughter Linda, who died at birth, grandson Michael Stevenson, and siblings George, Steve, John (Peggy), and Helen (Leonard).
The family has entrusted Kubina Yuhasz Funeral Home with Margaret’s arrangements, where they will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, September 8, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, celebrated by Father Joseph Rudjak.
