May Her Memory Be Eternal – Αἰωνία της η μνήμη

Nomiki “Noma” Pizanias Lyras, 64, of Campbell, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 14, 1960, in Darwin, Australia, Noma was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose life was defined by faith, strength, and deep love for her family.

Noma was a 1978 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and went on to work as an aesthetician at the salon at Macy’s, where she was admired for her care, kindness, and attention to detail.

She was a devoted member of Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church and a proud member of the Ladies Kalymnian Society. Her faith was central to her life, guiding her with quiet strength through every joy and hardship. She especially cherished her Sunday coffee hours with family and friends and summers spent in Greece with her grandchildren — creating memories rooted in tradition, laughter, and love.

Noma is survived by her loving husband, Gust Lyras; her beloved mother, Efimia Kouros Pizanias; her daughters Rinoula (Dimitri) Argiridakis of Kalymnos, Greece, and Efimia Sarayias of Campbell; and her sons George (Lauren), John, and Elijah Lyras.

She also leaves behind her dear brother Charlie (Irene) Pizanias of Campbell; her sister-in-law Katina Pizanias of Melbourne, Australia; her sister-in-law Irene (Tom) Psaras of Campbell; the late Louie (Karina) Lyras of Campbell; Steve (Maria) Lyras of Campbell; her treasured grandchildren Manolis, Antoni, Meadow, Katarina, and Kosta; her nieces Fotini and Efimia, and nephews Pantelis, and Pantelis; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren in Campbell and Greece.

Noma was preceded in death by her father, Pantelis Pizanias; her brother, Kosta Pizanias; and her beloved nephew, George.

She will be remembered for her elegance, generosity, vibrant spirit, and the deep love she had for her family and faith. Whether she was shopping, hosting loved ones, or sharing stories over coffee, Noma brought beauty and warmth into every room.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell.
