Panorea Kambouris, 85

 Campbell…Panorea Kambouris 85, passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on September 26, 2024, in New Middletown, Ohio. 

 She was born on January 24, 1939 during WWII in Heraklion, Crete Greece to Chrysostomos and Zambia (Porfirakis) Triantafillou. She lived in Heraklion with her six siblings, where she was educated and worked in a lawyer’s office until her marriage to George M. Kambouris of Kalymnos, Greece. She had a double wedding ceremony alongside her sister Yianoula and Spyro Mastrovaselis and came to Campbell, Ohio immediately after, where she raised her four children. She lived to enjoy her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who all adored her for her generosity of spirit and brazen sense of humor. 

 Panorea’s home was a cozy haven to anyone who came to her doorstep. Her hospitality transported you to a Europe of the past, when people relaxed, and spent time with one another. Her kitchen was a loving place of abundant food, wine and belly laughs. She was gentle and nurturing to people just as she was to her flowers. She loved her birthplace Heraklion and her adopted hometown of Campbell – especially the Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church. Panorea made lasting relationships wherever she went but also remained close to her family in Crete. Her life lesson to everyone, was “Regardless how far you are from where you yearn to be, create your piece of paradise around you that brings you peace and joy." Her happiness came from “Kali Parea” which translates to “Good Company.” So plant those flowers, take a walk, put on the coffee, crank up the music that makes you happy and enjoy the “kali parea” around you. Panorea would love that. 

Panorea is survived by her son, Triantafillos (Sylvia) Kambouris of Hilliard, Ohio; daughters, Margarita (Scott) Crow of Worthington, Ohio, and Zambia (Jason) Logero of Boardman, Ohio; and son Chrysostomos Kambouris of Lorain, Ohio. She was a cherished grandmother to Katerina (Jon) Bradley, George Kambouris, Wesley (Caroline) Crow, Julia Crow, Panorea Logero, Neotis Logero, and Andonis Kambouris, and great-grandmother to Seva and Giannis Bradley. She also leaves behind her loving siblings Yianoula (Spiro) Mastrovaselis, Kyriaki (Ioannis) Kambouraki, Maro (Andreas) Vamvakis, and Niko (JoAnn) Triantafillou, along with numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored. Preceded in death by her beloved husband George, her parents Chrysostomos and Zambia Triantafillou, and her brothers Triantafillos (Nitsa) Triantafillou and Andonis (Elena) Triantafillou, Panorea's legacy of love and commitment to family continues to live on through her descendants. 

 The Kambouris Family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 9:30 - 10:30 am at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Campbell, Ohio, immediately followed by funeral services led by Father Steve Denas.

The Kambouris family extends their heartfelt gratitude to their aunts, uncles, cousins and Raphael Skillas for their compassionate care and support during Panorea's final years.
