Paul Dennis Dulovich, 73
Campbell…Paul Dennis Dulovich, 73 passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, November 13, 2024.
Dennis was born January 26, 1951 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Albert J. and Lena (Hrosch) Dulovich.
He was a 1968 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. Dennis joined the U.S. Navy on April 14, 1969, serving on the USS Norris and USS Springfield and was discharged on February 2, 1973. He attended Youngstown State University and then went on to graduate from The Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.
Dennis retired from the U.S. Post Office in Youngstown after 22 years, where he worked as a mail handler.
He was of the Catholic faith and attended Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. John’s Church in Campbell and The Cathedral Parish of St. Columba.
After retiring from the post office, Dennis committed himself to volunteer work with The Red Cross. His connection to the Boy Scouts was highlighted by two significant achievements: attaining the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout and serving in the Boy Scout Honor Guard for President Richard Nixon. Both reflect his dedication and distinguished service within the organization.
Finding joy in simple pastimes, Dennis enjoyed playing cards and visiting the casino. He had a special bond with his nieces and nephews as well as with his great-nieces and nephews. He was affectionately known as” Denny Donut,” a nickname that carried a legacy of love and humor that will remain with them always.
Dennis was the quiet heartbeat in our family, a gentle observer who lingered near the edge of the light during family events. Although he preferred to remain in the shadows, he found true joy in simply being near the people he loved. Their presence filled his heart with quiet contentment. Dennis’s joy shone through in his gentle smile and glow in his eyes as he quietly watched his family’s playful interactions. He cherished being part of every moment. However, he chose to avoid the spotlight and preferred not to be noticed. Throughout his life, Dennis’s shy character served as a tender shield. But, his presence in our family will forever be a quiet and enduring thread of love, intricately woven into the fabric of every cherished memory we’ve shared.
Dennis will be deeply missed and remembered by his siblings, Robert P. (Marie) Dulovich Sr. of Campbell, Patti Gallo of Seattle, Washington and Albert J. Dulovich Jr. of Poland, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Rob Dulovich Jr., Laura Hoover, Michelle Millard, Cheri Constantino-Shor, Nora Novak and Christopher Dulovich; 18 great nieces and nephews, and a great-great niece and a great-great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister-in-law, Kathleen Dulovich.
The Dulovich family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell. Private services were held.
