CAMPBELL…The world loss someone special , Philip James Igo, Jr., age 6, passed away on Friday April 8, 2022 at home with his parents at his side after a hard fought battle with cancer.
He was born on October 8, 2015 in Youngstown, the son of Philip James and Melissa Mikolaj Igo.
Philip attended Kidz at Play Childcare and Preschool and began Kindergarten at home before his illness progressed. He was a member of The Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Youngstown.
Philip was a lover of all Transformer movies especially the 4th one. He loved Legos and Imaginext toys. He also loved wearing his rubber boots and fingerless gloves, and any stick or item he could find that would become his sword. He loved Mark Wahlberg and most recently enjoyed dinner at his restaurant in Cleveland.
Philip made friends with everyone wherever he went. Philip loved to spend time with his cousins. He enjoyed spending his summers in the pool and just loved to run, play and have fun.
Cherishing his memory are his parents Philip and Melissa; his 3 Sisters, Mikayla, Leah, and Erin all at home; His maternal grandmother, Teresa Eckenrode; his paternal grandparents, Philip C. and Patty Sadosky; His great grandparents, Cyril Mikolaj, Sr., and Lou and Agnes Fossesca; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The Igo family has entrusted Philip’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell where calling hours will be held on Monday April 11, 2022 from 4-7PM.
Prayers will be at 9:15am on Tuesday April 12, 2022 at the Wasko Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at the Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Youngstown with Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio officiating.
