Ronald J. Zetts, 85
BOARDMAN…Ronald J. Zetts, 85 passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at home on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
Ronald was born September 24, 1940 in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Joseph M. and Margaret (Lesko) Zetts.
Ronald was a1958 graduate of North High School. Ronald joined the U.S. Navy in July of 1958 and served until July of 1961 where he was on the USS Piedmont. He was raised in Coitsville and after returning from the Navy he resided in Campbell. After retiring in 1995 he then moved to Boardman.
Ronald married the love of his life, the former Rosemary DelGreco on November 27, 1965 and they shared almost 61 wonderful years of marriage.
He worked for Packard Electric as a machine operator, retiring in 1995.
Ronald was of the Catholic faith and was a parishioner at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish in Campbell.
Ronald was a YSU basketball season ticket holder and he enjoyed eating at the Golden Dawn after all the games. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Ronald will be deeply missed and always remembered by his wife, Rosemary; his sons, Joseph (Melissa) Zetts of Youngstown, and Ronny (Tiffaney) Zetts of Poland; his granddaughter, Hannah Zetts; his brother, Lawrence Zetts of Campbell and his sister, Jeanette (Louie) Zetts of Campbell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Carol Helmick and Janice Zetts; and brother-in-law, David Helmick.
The Zetts family has entrusted Ronald’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio where calling hours will be held Friday, April 24, 2026 from 5-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 10am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish in Campbell officiated by Father Tom Kraszewski. For those attending Mass please arrive Saturday morning directly at the church by 9:45am.
Ronald will be laid to rest in St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville, Ohio.
