Rose Buccilli Obituary

Rose (Lipka) Buccilli, 102

Annapolis, Maryland…Former Campbell resident Rose Lipka Buccilli passed May 30,2024, at the age of 102, in Pasadena, Maryland.

Rose was born November 24, 1921, in Campbell, Ohio.  Graduated from Campbell Memorial High School, where she was Homecoming Queen for the 1939 graduating class. She was a member of the former St. Lucy’s Church. She also was a Cub Scout leader and active in the concession stand sales during football season for Campbell Memorial High School. Her love of chocolate found her the perfect job at Gorant’s Chocolatier.

She moved to Annapolis, Maryland in 2012 where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law. Moving to Annapolis gave Rose the opportunity to be a part of her grandchildren’s lives, as well as attending many events for each of her 5 great grandchildren.

She loved taking care of everyone including her dog, Sasha. Along with her daughter, she was a devoted tennis fan, binge watching all the tennis tournaments she could on TV. When she was in her early 80s, she traveled with her daughter to The Miami Open Tennis Tournament to see many of her favorite tennis players, especially Andre Agassi. She watched live matches from 11am to 12am. When she wasn’t watching tennis, she loved to read romances, thrillers, biographies and the Vindicator. Rose loved to plant her summer flowers enjoying them as she sat on the front porch every night. She also followed her son Mark’s music career, from his high school band to most recently his Jazz CDs featuring his bass talents as Bambo Kino.

Preceding her in death was her husband Louis Buccilli; her mother Rose Kravits Lipka; her father Demetro Lipka; her brothers John, Steve, Michael and Walter; her sisters Mary Uhrin Baker and Anne Mruczek.

She is survived by her son Mark Buccilli; her daughter and son-in-law Karen and Joe Davolio;2 grandchildren, Kristen Cole, Don Davolio and his wife Jill; great grandchildren, Kasey and Jake Davolio, Ayla, Leah, and Alex Cole.
