Rosemarie M. Pekarcik, 82

YOUNGSTOWN…Rosemarie M. Pekarcik, 82 passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 22, 2025.

Rosemarie was born May 22, 1942 in Youngtown, Ohio a daughter of  Rudolph  M. and Helen A. (Novak) Husar.

She was a 1960 graduate of East High School.

Rosemarie met the love of her life, Joseph L. Pekarcik Jr. after being set up by her friends on a blind date.  They were married on October 23, 1963 and they shared almost sixty years of marriage until his passing on August 4, 2022.

She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish at St. Matthias Church.

Rosemarie worked for Dr. David H. Levy as a receptionist. She then retired to raise her 2 sons and then returned to work For Dr. Levy until his practice merged with St. E’s.

She enjoyed casinos, bingo, crossword puzzles and crafting. Rosemarie was also the den mother for the Cub Scouts.

Rosemarie will be deeply missed and always remembered by her devoted son, David (Tina) Pekarcik of Boardman; her granddaughter, Jamie Pekarcik of Austintown; her great –grandson, Dakota Pekarcik and her sister-n-law, Bobbi Husar of Youngstown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joseph; her son, Joseph Pekarcik III and her brother Raymond Husar.

The Pekarcik Family has entrusted Rosemarie’s care to the Kubina-Yuhasz- Wasko Funeral Home in Boardman. Private services were held.
