Salvatore Mangiarelli, 90

CAMPBELL…Salvatore Mangiarelli, 90 passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio.

Salvatore was born December 19, 1935 in Sulmona, Italy, a son of Francesco and Maria (Marzullo)Mangiarelli.

Salvatore came to America in 1955. He married the love of his life, the former Livia Imperatore on June 2, 1962 and they shared 62 years of marriage until her passing on February 20, 2024.

He was of the Catholic faith and was a parishioner of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish in Campbell, Ohio.

Salvatore worked as a press operator for Calex Corp for 40 plus years until retiring in 1995.

Salvatore was a member of the Pacentrano Club and the Sulmona Valley Club. He enjoyed gardening, making wine and cured Italian meats. He was a fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Above all he loved spending time with his family.

Salvatore will be deeply missed and always remembered by his children, Frank (Mona) Mangiarelli of Youngstown and Bruno (Lara) Mangiarelli of Winter Springs, Florida; his loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, granddaughter Demetra (Justin) Nescott and great-granddaughter Sophia Nescott and great-grandson Noah Nescott; and grandson Dante Mangiarelli; all of Winter Springs, Florida, granddaughter Stacey (Shane) Adams and great-grandson Malaki Adams, of Howland and grandson Brandon (Tracy) Behnke of Cortland. He also leaves his nieces and nephew whom he greatly loved Linda Reinthaler, Anna Rigelsky, Lucy Myers and Anthony Verrocchi.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Livia and his sister Loretta Verrocchi.

Entombment will take place at Lake Park Cemetery.

The Mangiarelli family has entrusted Salvatores’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday January 14, 2026 from 5-7pm at the funeral home. Prayer Services will be held on Thursday January 15, 2026 at 9:30am at the Wasko Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Christ the Good Shepard Parish in Campbell.

Entombment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown.
