Samuel Steffanina, 75
CONVERSE, TEXAS…Samuel Steffanina,75 passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Northeast Methodist Hospital in Texas.
Samuel was born December 19, 1950 in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, a son of Samuel and Pearl (Hlincik) Steffanina.
He was a 1968 graduate of Kiski Area Senior High School in Pennsylvania. Samuel went on to earn his Bachelor of Science Degree in finance from The Pennsylvania State University and his MBA from Case Western Reserve. He was most proud of his Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Samuel was a member of the U.S. Army and was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany
Samuel married the love of his life the former Janice Korechko on July 12, 1997 and they shared almost thirty wonderful years of marriage.
He worked as an investment manager for Mahoning National Bank, Case Western Reserve University and Comerica Bank, and the U.S. Army at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio.
Samuel will be deeply missed and always remembered by his wife, Janice: His brothers, Reginald (Mary) Steffanina of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and Jeffrey (Debbie) Steffanina of Bath, North Carolina; his sister, Denise (DeWitt) May of Westerville, Ohio; his brother-in-law, John (Beverly) Korechko of Bethlehem, PA and his sister-in-law, Sandra (Joel) Gayetsky of Cincinnati, Ohio along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
The Steffanina family has entrusted Samuel’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio. Private services were held on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
Samuel was laid to rest in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville, Ohio.
