Sarah M. Terrell, 87

YOUNGSTOWN…Sarah M. Terrell, 87 passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

Sarah was born April 29, 1938 in Durham, North Carolina, a daughter of Bertha (Carter) Winstead. She was born and raised in North Carolina and The Bronx in New York and came to the Youngstown area in 1998.

Sarah married the love of her life, Leonard Terrell in January of 1961 and they shared 62 years of marriage until his passing in 2023.

She worked for Grumbacher Art Supply Company as a manager and later worked for Chase Bank.

She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Sarah enjoyed cooking and taking care of her home and family.

Sarah will be deeply missed and always remembered by her son, Simmy Terrell of Youngstown, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leonard and her brother Jimmy Winstead.

The Terrell family has entrusted Sarah’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio. No services will be held at this time.
