South Carolina…In the short time she was here, Terrah Lynn Yeager led a full, wonderful life. She was excited to come into this world a month early, to put her mark on this earth! A resident of John's Island, South Carolina, Terrah passed away from cancer on May 29th, 2023 at 43 years of age.
Terrah was born on March 9th, 1980 to Barbara and Pete Yeager and grew up in Campbell, Ohio. A 1998 graduate of Ursuline High School, she continued her education at The University of Akron where she was awarded a full athletic scholarship to play basketball for the 'Zips'. She graduated with a degree in Communications and Marketing. Upon completion of her education, she lived in Columbus for several years and then moved to her current home in John's Island, S.C. Prior to her illness she was employed as a branch loan manager.
Terrah’s entrepreneurship led her to start her own coffee sale business "BirdDog Coffee ". The packaging featured a photo of a different bird dog for each coffee flavor.
A unique and special person for sure, Terrah went to extremes to do everything in her life, her way. Her love for her family and friends was intense. She had a love for adventure and travel. She enjoyed entertaining and cooking for anyone who came to visit her home. Christmas holidays were always filled with fun as she brought life to the party. Her friendly personality embraced very special friends from all over the country. She was loved unconditionally by all of them.
Of all her relationships, her most important was the special bond she had with her mom. There couldn't possibly be a stronger relationship between mother and daughter. Terrah was also thankful for the relationship she had with her future "step-dad" Denny Puskarcik. His compassion and the love he gave her was selfless and endless. He brought her so much joy. She would have been honored to have been his stepdaughter.
Besides her mom, Terrah leaves behind her father Pete. Throughout her growing up years, he coached and taught her how to play the game of basketball that she loved. She leaves her Uncle Mike and Aunt Terrie Vodhanel, Uncle Mike and Aunt Debbie Szilagy.; cousin's Jason, Shannon Vodhanel their children, Sloan "sushi roll", Jason "pickles " and Lincoln; Josh, Dana and their son Jacob Vodhanel; as well as her friend Linda.
Terrah was preceded in death by her grandparents Mike and Norma Vodhanel and Pete and Rose Yeager. She leaves her best friend "Charli " her Boykin Spaniel, a devoted companion who never left her side. Special thank you and love goes to her dearest friend Lauren who was like a sister to her. Additionally, thank you’ s to Deana, Shelby, Jackie and Molly for being the best of friends.
A celebration of Terrah’s life for family and friends will be held at Waypoint Golf Simulator Lounge, 4180 Westford Place, Canfield, OH Sunday, July 2, 2023 from 1-3 p.m.
