Thomas M. Stanec son of John and Nancy (Trachek) Stanec died Friday, January 19, 2024.
Tom was born on Augst 2, 1960 in Youngstown, Ohio. He attended St. Elizabeth grade school and was a 1978 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and Mahoning County Joint Vocational School.
Tom was an outstanding Master Carpenter and contractor and a member of Local 171 Carpenter’s Union. Some projects that Tom supervised were the Newton Falls Post Office; Trumbull Industries Showrooms and the Poland Library just to mention a few.
Some of Tom’s interests and hobbies included bowling, hunting, fishing and golf. Tom sponsored the Stanec Construction Bowling Team at the Holiday Bowl in Struthers, Ohio were he rolled several 300 games and 700 sets. He was also die-hard Cleveland Browns ticket holder, Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Tom married Beverly Jacobs on May 5, 1989. Beverly recently passed away May 7, 1922.
Tom’s generosity and friendship were exemplary being a annual donor to many charities and first responders. He will be greatly missed by brother John and Linda (Hurd) Stanec of Boardman, Ohio; sister Joann (Stanec) Reno and Jack of McDonald, Ohio. Nieces Lisa (Bajnok) Santucci and Richard of Boardman, Ohio; Michelle (Stanec) Zajic and Bryan of Columbus, Ohio; nephew’s John Stanec III and Nicole (Garrett) of Boardman, Ohio; David Bajnok and Jessica of Huntingdon, PA. Brother-in law David Jacobs. Great nephews Richard and Carter Santucci and great niece Brooklynn Bajnok.
No calling hours are scheduled. Cremation is being arranged by the Wasko Funeral Home.
