Helen E. (Larson) Donnorummo

YOUNGSTOWN – Helen E. Donnorummo, 97, of Youngstown, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, at Beeghly Oaks Center.

Helen was born on August 4, 1928, in Youngstown, the daughter of Carl and Alice (Smith) Larson.

Helen married Sam Donnorummo and enjoyed putting puzzles together with him.  She also loved baking cookies at the holidays and collected American Flags.

She is survived by her daughter Susan Salmen, son Sam (Lisa) Donnorummo II, and grandchildren Sam Donnoeummo III, and Alexis Donnorummo.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband Sam, who passed away on September 25, 2010, daughters Barbara (John) Pihonsky and Charlotte Donnorummo, son-in-law Michael Salmen, and grandson John Pihonsky III, as well as three brothers and one sister.

There will be a private service for Helen.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Helen’s name to Animal Charity Humane Society, 8469 Southern Blvd., Building 3, Youngstown, OH  44512, www.animalcharityofohio.org/donate.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Kubina-Yuhasz Funeral Home.
